To support its growing portfolio, TapOrbit Studios is seeking a part-time Game Sound Designer who can elevate the studio’s projects through rich, immersive audio design. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate remotely with a talented indie team while shaping the auditory identity of mobile games that blend creativity, innovation, and emotion.
Sound Design: Create and produce high-quality sound effects, ambient loops, and user interface audio tailored for mobile platforms.
Music Composition: Compose engaging and emotionally resonant background music that aligns with the tone, pacing, and gameplay dynamics of each project.
Audio Post-Production: Edit, mix, and master sound assets optimized for mobile device performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with the design and development teams to integrate audio seamlessly into gameplay and maintain consistency across all projects.
Creative Feedback: Participate in testing sessions, offering feedback on how sound enhances the player’s overall experience.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all audio assets meet technical and creative standards while maintaining a coherent sound identity across different titles.
Required:
Proven experience in sound design, composition, and audio post-production.
Strong understanding of how sound design enhances player immersion and emotional engagement.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project milestones.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote team environment.
Preferred:
Experience working on mobile or indie game projects.
Familiarity with Unity audio tools or middleware such as FMOD or Wwise.
A demo reel or portfolio demonstrating relevant sound design and composition work.
Understanding of file optimization and audio mixing for mobile performance efficiency.
