Game Service Technician

 

Description:

We are a leading company in the amusement and arcade industry seeking a skilled and motivated Game Service Technician to join our team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, technical problem-solving, and working in fast-paced environments including arcades, family entertainment centers, and international trade shows. This is an in-office position requiring regular presence at our Markham headquarters when not traveling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, and test arcade and amusement machines at customer locations
  • Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs (electrical, mechanical, and basic software troubleshooting)
  • Travel across the U.S. and internationally for installations, service calls, and support
  • Lead and support tradeshow setup and teardown
  • Assist with game room layout, installation, and commissioning
  • Provide technical training and support to operators and distributors
  • Document service reports and maintain clear communication with internal teams

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in arcade, amusement, vending, or similar technical field
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Valid passport and ability to travel frequently (U.S. & international)
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as required
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently on the road

 

Assets:

 

  • Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills
  • Experience with coin-operated equipment or family entertainment centers
  • Experience supporting trade shows or large-scale equipment installations
