Description:

BDC is seeking a Senior Commercial Account Manager (Directeur Principal de Comptes Commerciaux) for future opportunities across Ontario. The role focuses on building and developing a portfolio of businesses in various industries, creating financing opportunities, and collaborating with BDC Advisory Services to provide tailored solutions that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospection & Lead Generation: Identify potential clients through market research, networking, and targeted outreach.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong, long-lasting client relationships, understand their financing needs, and provide personalized solutions.

  • Advisory Services: Collaborate with clients to understand challenges and goals, providing expert advice.

  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and commercial financing landscape changes to identify new market opportunities.

  • Proposal Development: Prepare persuasive proposals and presentations showcasing BDC’s financing products and advisory services tailored to client needs.

  • Collaborative Teamwork: Partner with internal teams, including underwriters and credit analysts, to ensure seamless execution of financing solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, preferably in commercial financing or financial services.

  • Knowledge of commercial lending products, financing options, and credit analysis.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), negotiation, and presentation abilities.

  • Results-oriented, independent, and capable of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
