Functional Consultant

Quantum Technology Recruiting Inc. (QTR) is hiring an SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Techno-Functional Consultant for a contract assignment based in the Greater Toronto Area. This role combines strong technical expertise with in-depth functional knowledge of warehouse management processes. The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end EWM implementation, system configuration, integration with other SAP modules, and providing post-implementation hypercare support.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled consultant with extensive experience in SAP EWM, able to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, translate operational requirements into system solutions, and ensure successful project delivery within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business users to gather, analyze, and document warehouse management requirements and translate them into SAP EWM solutions.

• Perform SAP EWM configuration for inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes, RF framework, and physical inventory.

• Design and implement system enhancements, custom developments, and integration points with other SAP modules (MM, SD, TM) and external systems.

• Develop functional specifications for WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) and work with ABAP developers to deliver solutions.

• Support various testing phases including unit, integration, regression, and UAT, ensuring optimal system performance.

• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues, leveraging ABAP debugging where required.

• Stay updated on SAP EWM roadmap, S/4HANA innovations, and industry best practices to recommend continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

• At least 5+ years of experience in SAP EWM implementation, configuration, and support.

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics execution, and supply chain management processes.

• Proven hands-on experience integrating SAP EWM with core SAP ERP modules (MM, SD, PP, QM) and third-party systems.

• Experience with advanced EWM features including labor management, wave management, slotting, and cross-docking.

• Strong capability in developing functional specifications and working collaboratively with ABAP technical teams.

• Familiarity with SAP ABAP debugging for problem resolution.

• Experience with S/4HANA EWM is considered an asset.
