Functional Consultant

Quantum Technology Recruiting Inc. (QTR) is hiring an SAP EWM Techno-Functional Consultant for a 3-month contract role, with the possibility of extension. The position is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days per week in the Calgary office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with both functional and technical expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), as the consultant will be deeply involved in implementation, configuration, enhancements, integration, and post-implementation hypercare.

The selected candidate will be responsible for engaging with business stakeholders to capture warehouse management requirements and designing tailored SAP EWM solutions. Duties will include performing system configurations across inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, RF framework, and physical inventory management. The role will also require designing enhancements, developing integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, TM, PP, QM) and third-party systems, and preparing detailed functional specifications for WRICEF objects in collaboration with ABAP developers.

In addition, the consultant will play a key role in testing activities, including unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), as well as troubleshooting performance issues to ensure optimal system reliability. Staying informed on the SAP EWM roadmap, S/4HANA innovations, and best practices is expected to help recommend process improvements and technological upgrades.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM implementation, configuration, and support.

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics execution, and supply chain processes.

• Extensive experience with SAP EWM integration with core SAP ERP modules (MM, SD, PP, QM) and external systems.

• Expertise in advanced features such as labor management, wave management, slotting, and cross-docking.

• Proficiency in preparing functional specifications and collaborating with ABAP developers on custom enhancements.

• Knowledge of SAP ABAP debugging techniques for issue resolution.

• Experience in S/4HANA EWM considered a strong asset.
