Description:
Toronto Relationship Clinic (TRC) is a specialized group practice of independent contractors committed to anti-oppressive, abolitionist, and decolonizing approaches within mental health and justice spaces. They provide intensive structured treatment for men who have sexually offended (whether charged or not), trauma-focused care to survivors of sexual abuse, and emphasize restorative and transformative justice prioritizing accountability and healing.
The role focuses on working primarily with men in Ontario who have perpetrated sexual harm, as well as relational therapy with partners, families, and survivors of sexual trauma. It’s an opportunity to enter the niche of forensic psychotherapy related to sexual behaviors and build a private practice with mentorship and community support.
Provide 1:1 psychotherapy to clients
Maintain accurate clinical records and notes
Participate in weekly clinical and administrative supervision
Manage professional calendar and prioritize tasks efficiently
Contribute to marketing efforts (social media, blogging, podcasts)
Foster positive relationships with clinicians and staff
You should apply if you:
Are motivated to learn forensic psychotherapy for sexual behaviours through restorative justice
Are willing to undergo intensive training
Desire autonomy and entrepreneurial practice development with peer support
Commit to ongoing learning, curiosity, and professional growth
Have experience or affirming practice with marginalized communities (2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC, neurodivergent)
Have training or experience in systems-oriented, family therapy, Brainspotting, Narrative Therapy, EFT, EMDR, or forensic client work (asset)
Registered and in good standing with a recognized Ontario regulatory body such as:
Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) - RSW or RSSW
College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) - RP or RP(Q)
Master’s Degree or working towards in Couple and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or related
Proven track record in mental health initiatives focused on anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive care
Strong problem-solving, creativity, and justice-oriented client care skills
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and in diverse community settings
Skills in writing, marketing, and creative content development
Fully virtual, 100% remote practice anywhere in Ontario
