Financial Services Lawyer

We are currently seeking Financial Services Lawyers to work with Canada’s largest in-house financial and banking institutions. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in financial services law, with expertise in providing legal advice and support to clients on a wide range of regulatory and transactional matters.

Responsibilities
 

• Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters related to banking, securities, insurance, and other financial services areas.
• Draft and review a variety of financial services agreements, including loan agreements, investment management agreements, and insurance policies.
• Represent clients in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and compliance audits conducted by regulatory authorities.
   

Qualifications
 

• Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on financial services, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department setting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian financial services regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Act, Securities Act, and Insurance Act.
