Description:
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Data & Reconciliation Analyst to support a critical data migration and reporting initiative. This 6-month contract role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation, experience reconciling large financial datasets, and hands-on SAP system expertise. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to support the bank’s transition to new financial systems and reporting structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform deep-dive reconciliations of large-scale financial datasets between legacy systems and SAP.
- Compare multiple financial and operational reports to ensure accuracy and consistency across platforms.
- Support the migration and validation of accounting data as part of broader system transformation efforts.
- Identify discrepancies and gaps across general ledger reports and propose resolution steps.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Reporting teams to align financial data structures.
- Assist in validating financial data post-migration to ensure integrity and compliance with internal standards.
- Document reconciliation processes, data flow mappings, and support internal audit readiness.
- Use Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) and SAP reporting tools for analysis and tracking.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong accounting knowledge with hands-on experience in financial data reconciliation and reporting.
- Proven track record working with data migration or transformation projects in a banking or enterprise finance setting.
- Proficiency in SAP (S/4HANA or ECC) for GL reporting, data extraction, or reconciliation.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data cleansing techniques).
- Comfortable analyzing large volumes of data and identifying anomalies or mismatches.
- Strong communication skills and ability to document findings clearly and accurately.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
