Financial Controller

 

Description:

A growing small-to-medium-sized enterprise in downtown Montreal is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee its financial operations and contribute to its strategic growth. This role offers an entrepreneurial environment, flexible work arrangements, and the opportunity to play a key role in the company’s financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the complete accounting cycle.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze results to provide recommendations for cost management.

  • Ensure proper allocation of costs across cost centers.

  • Supervise a team of four employees.

  • Coordinate budget preparation with department directors.

  • Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards.

  • Handle occasional overtime and various related financial tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • CPA designation (strong asset).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong autonomy, sense of responsibility, and prioritization skills.

  • Knowledge of SAP (asset).
