Financial Compliance Analyst

 

Description:

Quantum Management Services Ltd. is recruiting a Financial Compliance Analyst to support the Corporate Finance team of their client. This hybrid role involves reviewing financial disclosures, managing compliance tracking, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring correct fee assessments for regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze annual and interim financial statements, management discussion and analysis (MD&A), and related filings to ensure compliance with applicable reporting standards

  • Maintain a detailed database of reporting issuer information including filing activity, fee payments, and any deficiencies

  • Monitor compliance status of issuers, and initiate follow-up actions such as issuing or revoking cease trade orders where necessary

  • Verify fee calculations and ensure payments comply with regulatory rules

  • Respond to inquiries from stakeholders including issuers, legal counsel, and agents regarding filing obligations and statuses

  • Support enforcement and reporting activities by providing documentation and analysis as needed

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related discipline

  • Relevant professional experience in financial compliance, audit, regulatory review, or corporate finance; experience with public companies is an advantage

  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards, disclosure practices, and compliance frameworks

  • Experience with SEDAR or similar financial reporting platforms is beneficial

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Comfortable with hybrid work arrangements (remote and occasional in-office presence)
