Wightman, a family-owned telecommunications provider with a longstanding legacy in the community, is actively seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join their Finance & Accounting team at their Clifford, ON office. This full-time, in-office opportunity is ideal for a finance professional looking to grow within a supportive organization that prioritizes people and community connections.

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Financial Analyst will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial data that directly informs key business decisions. This role is best suited to individuals who excel in a collaborative team environment and possess a keen eye for financial detail, accuracy, and strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results and present them to leadership.

• Assist in the development and review of both operating and capital budgets to guide strategic planning.

• Prepare and support regulatory submissions while ensuring accurate and timely financial correspondence.

• Participate in the identification of cost-saving and revenue-enhancing opportunities through data-driven insights.

• Ensure financial reports and statements are prepared in compliance with accounting standards.

• Provide support during external audits and assist in the preparation of audited financial statements.

• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to assist various departments and inform high-impact decisions.

• Contribute to the upgrade and maintenance of the company’s ERP systems and reporting tools.

• Maintain meticulous records and uphold the organization’s contract and document retention policies.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned within the finance domain.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Enrollment in or progress toward a CPA designation is highly preferred.

• Proven experience in audit support, budgeting, and financial reporting is required.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in ERP systems.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills for effective data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience in the telecommunications industry or understanding of regulatory processes is a plus.
