Financial Analyst

Description:

Our client, a growing player in the real estate and construction industry, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract with potential for extension. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, collaborate with a dynamic finance team, and support strategic decision-making within a thriving organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and project costing for real estate development and construction projects.

• Track project performance and conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast).

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership.

• Partner with operations, development, and project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.

• Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency and margin performance.

• Maintain and improve financial models related to project pipeline, cash flow, and ROI metrics.

• Support the month-end close process, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Utilize Yardi ERP system for data extraction, reporting, and financial processing.

• Assist with process improvements, internal controls, and documentation initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of progressive experience as a Financial Analyst, ideally in the real estate and/or construction sector.

• Strong command of Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis tools).

• Hands-on experience with Yardi or similar real estate ERP systems.

• Proven track record of supporting large capital projects and operational finance.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
