As a Financial Advisor within the Personal and Business Banking Team, you will develop and grow a dedicated client portfolio by providing exceptional service and tailored financial advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong client relationships and manage a dedicated portfolio by acting as a trusted advisor.

  • Provide tailored financial planning solutions across day-to-day banking, investments, lending, and estate planning.

  • Serve as a single point of contact for clients, helping them plan for immediate needs and long-term goals like securing futures, home ownership, and business setup.

  • Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and be open to working at multiple banking centres within reasonable travel distance.

  • Focus on client engagement by connecting personally and making every interaction meaningful.

  • Develop and execute business development strategies, leveraging CIBC’s credit and investment products to meet client needs.

  • Increase brand awareness by participating in community events and marketing outreach to grow your network.

  • Use your relationship-building and networking skills to generate new business and foster client loyalty.

Candidate Profile:

  • 1–3 years of experience delivering financial advice and establishing client relationships while meeting targets.

  • Certified professional credentials: CIRO-MFD licensing, Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC), or Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC).

  • For Quebec candidates: AMF licensing, Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC), with relevant supporting courses (e.g., CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals, Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning).

  • Passionate about client service, relationship-building, and delivering personalized financial solutions.

  • Values aligned with trust, teamwork, and accountability.

  • Ability to work onsite full-time during banking centre hours.
