Description:

Molson Coors Beverage Company, one of the world’s most iconic brewing organizations, is seeking a Finance Manager – Credit and Collection to lead and optimize its credit and collection operations from its Montreal office. This on-site role is critical to the financial health of the organization and reports directly to the Director of Commercial Finance.

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company’s customer credit processes and collection operations, with responsibilities spanning policy enforcement, cash flow forecasting, dispute management, process improvement, and audit compliance. The role also includes direct team supervision and collaboration with cross-functional departments, including Shared Services, Legal, and external collection agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit & Collections Oversight:

    • Manage customer enrollment into the pre-authorized debit system and monitor proper implementation.

    • Enforce Molson Coors’ Canadian credit policy in collaboration with Shared Services.

    • Handle credit-related issues such as payment terms, credit limits, order blocks, and risk reviews.

    • Resolve escalated disputes and ensure continuous improvement of the collections process.

  • Analysis & Forecasting:

    • Conduct daily reviews of open accounts and determine appropriate corrective actions.

    • Prepare monthly forecasts related to accounts receivable and cash flows.

    • Oversee doubtful account provisioning and approve bad debt write-offs.

  • Audit, Compliance & Legal:

    • Manage audit requests for the Order to Cash cycle.

    • Coordinate with the Legal Department on formal notices, bankruptcies, and litigation involving collections.

  • Process Optimization:

    • Identify and implement enhancements in customer onboarding, collections, and cash application procedures.

    • Review and update credit policies and customer credit limits periodically.

    • Drive operational efficiency within the Shared Services collections team.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor a team of two finance professionals.

    • Oversee activities such as account reconciliations, claim processing, proof of delivery management, and check deposits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.

  • CPA designation is a strong asset.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in credit, collections, and team management.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Deep knowledge of credit policy, AR management, and the full Order to Cash process.

  • Highly skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and BW tools.

Pay and Benefits Summary:

  • Base Salary Range: CAD 86,100 – 113,000 annually (approx. CAD 7,175 – 9,416 monthly)

  • Bonus: 13% target short-term incentive
