Finance Manager

Description:

A reputable organization in the automotive sector seeks a Controller to lead financial operations from their Mississauga corporate head office. This role encompasses both corporate finance and manufacturing oversight, offering a strategic and impactful leadership opportunity.

Role Scope:
The Controller is accountable for complete financial oversight, including business planning, forecasting, treasury management, cash flow optimization, month-end and quarter-end closures, and ensuring compliance with SOX and audit requirements. The position demands high-level coordination across both the head office and assembly plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage business plans, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections

• Conduct product segment profit analysis and rolling financial forecasts

• Manage sales gross profit analysis, income tax prep, and transfer pricing reports

• Oversee options cost rollups, royalty calculations, and inventory control

• Lead month/quarter/year-end reporting, including board presentation material

• Supervise departmental spending, purchase reviews, and audit response coordination

• Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and audit standards

• Manage ERP-driven accounting processes and validate cost accounting for audits

• Analyze financials for new and renewing dealership agreements

• Lead financial planning for board meetings and direct a high-performance finance team
