Description:
U+ Toastmasters, in collaboration with Volunteer Success, is seeking a Video Editor / Film Editor to contribute to its Youth Volunteer Connects Program, an initiative funded by Canada Service Corps that empowers young people to develop skills while giving back to their community. This is a remote, volunteer-based opportunity ideal for students, creatives, or aspiring professionals in media and communications who want to gain valuable hands-on experience.
As a Volunteer Video Editor, you will play a vital role in creating engaging, high-quality video content that promotes public speaking, leadership, and community engagement programs. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing and organizing raw footage, selecting video clips, assembling edits, adding transitions, audio, effects, titles, captions, and animations to craft compelling final outputs. You will collaborate with directors and producers to ensure creative alignment, manage post-production workflow, and deliver polished videos that meet technical standards for online platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Review, organize, and select raw footage for editing.
Edit videos by assembling clips, adding sound, transitions, and visual effects.
Incorporate graphics, titles, captions, and animations to enhance storytelling.
Synchronize audio and video for professional-quality outputs.
Collaborate closely with creative directors and producers to align vision.
Stay updated with editing tools, techniques, and media trends.
Ensure the final product meets required formats and technical standards.
Qualifications:
Age between 12 – 30.
Enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn.
Positive attitude and willingness to complete training.
Fluency in English (additional languages are an asset).
Successful Vulnerable Sector Check required for applicants over 18.
Prior editing experience is a bonus but not required.
