We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Field Service Technician based in Ontario to join our team. In this role, you'll handle hardware, software, and network setup, configuration, and maintenance-both in-house and at client sites. You'll play a key role in preparing and shipping equipment, managing inventory, assisting with installations, and providing front-line technical support. Responsibilities

  • Prepare, configure, and ship hardware and networking equipment for new and existing clients.
  • Perform hardware, software, and network installations and maintenance, both remotely and on-site.
  • Support client installations to ensure configurations meet standards and expectations.
  • Manage inventory, including tracking equipment and processing RMAs.
  • Test and evaluate new hardware and software products for integration.
  • Complete administrative duties related to technical operations and service tickets.
  • Provide Tier I support as part of the help desk team, resolving client issues efficiently.
  • Conduct on-site visits for service and installations as needed.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for emergency support.

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Valid Class D driver's license and ability to travel for service calls.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 50 pounds) as part of installation/setup duties.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing technical needs and customer requests.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a field service or technical support role.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with networking systems.
