Description:

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a leader in advancing laboratory science and healthcare for over 80 years, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Representative (FSR) to support their diagnostic instrumentation in Kelowna, BC, with a remote work arrangement. The FSR is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and validating diagnostic instruments primarily used in hospital and standalone laboratory environments. Reporting to the Canada West Service Manager, this position focuses on frontline technical support, ensuring instrumentation provides accurate and reliable results that improve patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform independent troubleshooting, repairs, installation, validation, and preventive maintenance of diagnostic instruments.

  • Complete maintenance and service documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, including technical training on diagnostic products and systems.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, becoming a trusted partner.

  • Travel extensively within assigned territory and occasionally other regions in Canada and the US.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.


Essential Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or higher in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years relevant field service experience preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record for the past 3 years.

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight stays within and outside the assigned service district.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, pushing/pulling, and prolonged standing/sitting.

  • Good manual dexterity and flexibility to reach above and below shoulder level.

  • Ability to comply with company vehicle policies, including background checks and immunizations.


Preferred Experience:

  • Servicing In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) instruments such as chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, urinalysis, or lab automation systems.
