Description:
Malvern Family Resource Centre (MFRC), a trusted and vital community hub serving over 19,000 individuals annually, is hiring a Community and Family Program Manager to lead and oversee key program areas including Seniors’ Programs, Women Programs, and the Newcomer and Settlement Program. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for an experienced community-focused professional who is passionate about fostering equity, inclusion, and empowerment in the community.
Reporting to the Program Director and working collaboratively with the broader MFRC Management Team, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring program excellence, strategic planning, impact measurement, and team development across several service streams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse team of program coordinators, front-line staff, and volunteers.
Plan, implement, and evaluate inclusive, accessible, and innovative community programs that reflect the needs of local seniors, women, families, and newcomers.
Integrate data, feedback, and community insights to enhance program quality and effectiveness.
Foster and maintain collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders, funders, and community organizations.
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and equity standards across all programs.
Work with the leadership team to support recruitment, budget planning, reporting, and funding development efforts.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing community-based or nonprofit programs.
Proven leadership and people management skills with experience in building inclusive, equitable teams.
Strong understanding of the challenges and needs facing seniors, newcomers, women, and families.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal relationship-building skills.
A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in both strategic and operational practices.

Terms of Employment:
Full-time: 37.5 hours/week
Hybrid Schedule: Minimum 4 days on-site per week
Some evening shifts required for events or program support
Salary: CA$65,000–CA$75,000/year
Benefits: 100% employer-paid benefits, three weeks of paid vacation, plus additional time off including a New Year break and the option to substitute four statutory holidays (Thanksgiving, Victoria Day, Good Friday, Canada Day) with culturally relevant days.

The MFRC office is located on a TTC bus route and is accessible by car.
