The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is seeking a motivated and experienced Estate and Gift Planning Manager to support the organization’s philanthropic goals and help shape the future of cancer care in Canada. This hybrid role is based in Vancouver, BC, and offers a meaningful opportunity to work for one of the country's leading non-profit organizations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a donor portfolio and securing new and legacy gifts through estate and gift planning. The role requires strong relationship-building, fundraising strategy, and donor stewardship skills. The manager will play an essential role in ensuring sustainable fundraising growth through planned giving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of new and existing donors to secure planned and estate gifts.

  • Independently solicit and steward legacy donors, engaging them with CCS’s mission and impact.

  • Guide donors and their advisors on giving strategies that align with philanthropic and financial goals.

  • Accurately manage donor data and CRM entries (Salesforce), ensuring effective outreach and recordkeeping.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional fundraising and planned giving teams nationally.

  • Represent CCS professionally in the community and build relationships with allied professionals.

  • Support the advancement of CCS’s mission and contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DIBE).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required); CFRE or MFP-A designation (asset).

  • Bilingualism in English and French (required).

  • At least 5 years of fundraising experience, including soliciting and closing planned gifts.

  • In-depth knowledge of planned giving vehicles, tax regulations, and estate planning strategies.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive donor information.

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is essential.

  • Ability and willingness to travel within Quebec when needed.
