Description:

Cactus Communications, through its flagship brand Editage, is seeking highly skilled Korean <> English Translators specialized in Clinical Oncology to join on a freelance, remote basis. Editage provides translation services to help ESL (English-as-a-second-language) researchers effectively communicate their scientific work to the international research community and publish in leading journals.

In this role, you will use your subject matter expertise and language proficiency to accurately translate academic manuscripts between Korean and English, ensuring clarity, precision, and adherence to scientific terminology. Your work will directly contribute to advancing global scientific research and helping researchers share their findings with the world.

Responsibilities include:

• Translating academic manuscripts in the field of clinical oncology between Korean and English.

• Ensuring high-quality, publication-ready translations that maintain accuracy and preserve scientific meaning.

• Leveraging your technical expertise to deliver subject-specific translations tailored to academic and clinical research standards.

• Working collaboratively with Editage to meet deadlines and client requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• Strong proficiency in both Korean and English, with the ability to translate in both directions.

• Specialized knowledge or academic background in clinical oncology or related biomedical fields.

• Prior experience in academic translation, editing, or research writing is highly desirable.

• Technical expertise to understand and accurately convey complex scientific concepts.

• Professional approach with excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following:

• A degree in Translation (or equivalent with significant translation training) from a recognized institution.

• A graduate (or higher) degree in any discipline plus at least 2 years of professional translation experience.

• At least 5 years of comprehensive professional translation experience.
