Description:
Engineering Project Manager (Project Manager Acoustical Engineering)
Aercoustics Engineering Ltd.,
Mississauga
When you go to a show, you hear more than words and music. You hear how the shape of the room, how the finishes of the space, and how quiet the space is, creates an overall experience. You hear the hum of the lights and the foot falls on the stage.
You have the potential and/or experience to be a talented acoustic consultant/engineer and are looking for flexibility, challenging work, and a culture that pushes you to be your best.
We’re Aercoustics Engineering Ltd., and this is where you belong.
We’re an award-winning, national leader in consulting engineering services in the field of acoustics, noise and vibration. We work on varied and challenging projects, from noise reduction in transit systems, to world-class performance spaces for the Royal Conservatory of Music, to the research and development of tools that are changing our industry.
Now we’re looking for a talented individual to join us as a Project Manager and we are hoping our search ends with you.
Overview of Opportunity
This unique opportunity will appeal to a motivated, self-directed engineer with an acoustics background wishing to work with a high performing team to build upon their previous Acoustical experience in a dynamic and growing company. Your primary goal will be to work within our engineering team, and with clients, in developing innovative solutions to a variety of acoustical, noise or vibration challenges. You will be involved in tasks such managing projects and directing junior staff, as well as directly involved in sound and vibration measurements, preparation of reports, preparation & review of models and calculations and other tasks. Based on your previous experience you may also play a role in helping the company to achieve its strategic and business goals.
This is a full-time, permanent position. We’re normally based in our bright, modern Mississauga office but now we are hybrid and in Vancouver as well! You’ll be trusted to manage your time to maximize your impact and to also make yourself available for meetings and other internal events as needed.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, an ability to learn and apply new theories, excellent teamwork skills and the ability to lead. You are also curious and eager to learn within a flexible work schedule, including occasional nights and weekends. As well, you are willing and able to travel as projects dictate. While the majority of our project sites are in Ontario, there is potential for travel outside the province, and in some cases outside Canada.
