Airbus, a global leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking an Engineering Professional in Airworthiness to join its Montreal-based team. As part of Airbus Canada’s Airworthiness department, this role involves representing regulatory authorities in the approval of new aircraft designs, product improvements, and ensuring ongoing safety compliance. The selected professional will play a critical role in the A220 Airworthiness team, providing leadership for the continued safety, certification, and navigability of the A220 program.

Key responsibilities include:

• Representing the regulatory authority for approval of new aircraft designs, product improvements, and continued safety issues.

• Organizing and leading logistics for internal and external certification activities.

• Acting as the primary liaison with government authorities, particularly Transport Canada, to resolve issues impacting aircraft safety.

• Providing regulatory guidance to different Airbus Canada disciplines and serving as the main contact point with regulatory bodies.

• Leading internal initiatives to ensure aircraft safety, guiding company management on procedures, and supporting safety management processes.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent 3–5 years of experience.

• Strong background in aviation with direct exposure to government authorities and certification regulations.

• Proven expertise in project engineering and a solid understanding of aircraft functionality.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong relational acumen.

• Organized, self-motivated, and bilingual (French and English) with advanced oral and written communication in English.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

• Solid digital literacy, with the ability to manage and organize data, leverage digital tools, and optimize workflows for efficiency and innovation.
