The Engineering Operations Specialist will play a key role within the Technology team, working closely with the Director of Engineering Operations to manage and enhance Curinos’ tactical day-to-day engineering activities and align them with broader tech-wide strategic goals. This role involves process improvement, financial forecasting, data-driven operations, and cross-functional collaboration, providing the specialist with a highly visible platform across departments.
This hybrid position is based out of Curinos’ Toronto office.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with departments like Product, HR, IT, and Finance to ensure effective communication and alignment of engineering operations across the organization
Support Engineering Leadership with budget planning, financial forecasting, analysis, and cost rebalancing
Deliver and maintain engineering-wide tools, performance metrics, KPIs, and operational processes to drive data-informed decisions
Assist in resource management across teams, feeding into both strategic and operational forecasts
Manage the coordination and onboarding of rotating contractors, including approvals, training, and tracking
Create and maintain standardized documentation, SOPs, and training materials to ensure process consistency
Identify automation opportunities and implement tech-driven solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks
Contribute to ongoing improvements in internal processes to enhance operational efficiency and team alignment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Background in Operations Management, Finance, Mathematics, Information Systems Management, or a related field
0–3 years of experience (open to new graduates with relevant academic/work experience)
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at creating clear documentation
Analytical mindset with a proven ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
Experience or interest in financial modeling and analysis for decision-making
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Collaborative mindset with interest in cross-functional teamwork
Creative eye for data visualization and presentation design
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with project/workflow tools like Jira and process flow design
Experience working with or alongside software development and product delivery teams is an asset
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Databricks is a plus
