Engineering Manager

Description:

VTS is seeking an accomplished and visionary Engineering Manager, Infrastructure & Security to lead two critical engineering teams: Platform Infrastructure and Security Engineering. This leadership role is responsible for designing and executing the company’s strategy for infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security, while advancing the company’s secure-by-design principles and automation goals.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing technical roadmaps, implementing modern DevOps and SRE practices, and ensuring the organization’s systems, applications, and platforms remain resilient, cost-effective, and future-ready. This is a high-impact leadership position at the intersection of engineering excellence, cybersecurity, and cloud innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire teams of Infrastructure and Security Engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.

• Develop and execute long-term technical strategies and roadmaps for infrastructure and security initiatives aligned with business objectives.

• Build and evolve a robust security program, covering Application Security, Cloud Security, and compliance certifications.

• Drive automation, scalability, and observability improvements across the engineering organization.

• Define, track, and report on OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) to align team performance with company goals.

• Identify opportunities to integrate AI-driven solutions for efficiency, scalability, and enhanced business value.

• Oversee and optimize cloud budgets and vendor expenses, ensuring operational cost-efficiency.

• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable services.

• Act as a technical advisor for infrastructure architecture and security challenges, guiding strategic decision-making.

• Promote an inclusive, innovative, and psychologically safe work culture that empowers teams to excel.

• Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, tools, and frameworks in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and cybersecurity.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience leading Infrastructure and Security Engineering teams in cloud-native environments.

• Strong expertise in cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and native security controls (IAM, VPC, etc.).

• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), containers (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Deep knowledge of Application Security practices including vulnerability management, SAST/DAST/SCA tool integration, and incident response.

• Proven record of driving major infrastructure and security initiatives—such as compliance certifications, cloud migrations, or large-scale automation projects.

• Strong budget management and vendor contract experience.

• Ability to create and execute unified technical roadmaps connecting infrastructure and security with business objectives.

• Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and communication skills, with the ability to influence executive and engineering stakeholders.
