Description:
Replicant, a leading AI-driven platform specializing in transforming customer service with large language model-powered virtual agents, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one or more development teams. The company builds AI-powered solutions that handle millions of calls monthly for Fortune 500 companies and high-growth innovators, helping contact centers resolve requests, book appointments, authenticate users, and enhance agent performance.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the execution, mentorship, and growth of engineering teams in a remote-first, fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes structured planning, team collaboration, and technical oversight without fostering a crunch culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Leadership, and teams to develop foundational services for the AI-driven virtual agent platform.
Establish a shared mission, prioritize workloads, and run a well-organized team using agile processes.
Provide mentorship, create individualized growth plans, and set measurable goals for team members.
Guide architectural and design decisions while conducting thorough code reviews.
Occasionally contribute code to non-critical path projects.
Drive planning, execution, and continuous improvement to increase team velocity, predictability, and satisfaction.
What You Bring:
Proven experience leading remote software engineering teams (2+ years).
Strong background in delivering foundational services with both external and internal stakeholders.
Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies, TDD, and development process optimization.
Data-driven decision-making skills using tools such as JIRA and Sheets.
