AlayaCare, a leading SaaS company transforming the future of home and community care, is seeking a Directeur de l’ingénierie de la fiabilité des sites (SRE) to lead its Site Reliability Engineering function. In this strategic leadership role, you will define and execute AlayaCare’s SRE vision, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of its global infrastructure and applications. You will oversee system monitoring, incident management, FinOps initiatives, and infrastructure governance, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams. This position combines high-level strategy with technical leadership to drive operational excellence and resilience across all AlayaCare platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and communicate the SRE roadmap aligned with business goals while fostering a culture of reliability, accountability, and innovation.

• Governance and Alignment: Lead governance forums to standardize architectures, workloads, observability practices, and technology stacks across teams.

• Operational Excellence: Ensure 24/7 monitoring, high availability, and performance optimization of infrastructure systems to maintain uptime and SLAs (99.9%+).

• Incident Management: Direct global incident management operations through a “follow-the-sun” model between Australia and North America to ensure rapid detection and resolution.

• Cost Optimization (FinOps): Drive infrastructure cost-efficiency, implement FinOps best practices, and align engineering efforts with financial and operational objectives.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Support, and Data teams to proactively address system challenges and strengthen platform resilience.

• Team Development: Build and mentor a global SRE team, nurturing leadership capabilities, promoting collaboration, and driving professional growth.

• Innovation and Standards: Implement industry-leading practices in cloud infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and operational security while staying ahead of emerging trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• At least 4 years of experience leading technical or SRE teams, ideally in large-scale, cloud-based environments.

• Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms (AWS), Linux systems, Kubernetes, microservices, and large-scale distributed systems.

• Proven experience leading FinOps or cost-optimization initiatives with measurable impact.

• Strong background in infrastructure governance, system monitoring, and operational resilience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across departments and leadership levels.

• Experience with incident management rotations, 24/7 monitoring operations, and global team coordination.

• Demonstrated success in recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineering leaders.

• Solid understanding of system and network security, backup and disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.

• Fluency in English (French/English bilingualism is an asset).
