, one of Canada’s most recognized names in sports and entertainment, is seeking a Culinary Supervisor to join its dynamic culinary team in Toronto, Ontario. As part of a world-class organization that operates major venues like Scotiabank Arena, BMO Field, and Real Sports, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service across MLSE’s premium hospitality experiences.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment, supporting operations that serve thousands of fans and guests daily. As a Culinary Supervisor, you will lead by example, guiding cooks, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining smooth kitchen operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support kitchen operations to ensure the timely and high-quality preparation of food as directed by the Chef.

  • Oversee ordering, inventory, and storage of ingredients, dry goods, and cleaning supplies to maintain consistent availability and freshness.

  • Provide hands-on training and direction to cooks, ensuring plating and presentation meet MLSE’s culinary standards.

  • Conduct daily quality checks and taste testing to maintain superior standards of taste and consistency.

  • Lead closing procedures for the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Report maintenance issues or product discrepancies promptly to the management team.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering strictly to food safety and health standards.

  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods.

  • Collaborate closely with the Front of House (FOH) teams to optimize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Uphold and enforce all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen setting.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.

  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Experience with POS and inventory systems is considered an asset.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.

  • Must be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
