Modern Niagara, a leading Canadian provider of mechanical, electrical, building technology, and integrated services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager to join its Building Services team in Vaughan, ON. The Electrical Service Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the Time & Material, Maintenance, and Special Projects operations within Toronto's Building Services department. Reporting to the Electrical Manager, the role is critical in ensuring excellent client service, team performance, and financial success.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Account Managers, Project Managers, Dispatch, and Billing teams. You will be involved in strategic planning, technician scheduling, client relations, revenue generation, and contributing to Modern Niagara’s long-term vision. The successful candidate will be expected to promote all service offerings and foster a culture of safety, continuous learning, and high performance.
Manage profit and loss performance for Building Services in Toronto.
Participate in Electrical Leadership Team meetings and overall business leadership planning.
Schedule and supervise technicians to maximize client satisfaction.
Grow maintenance and special projects portfolios.
Oversee all service project activities, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
Handle client communications, resolve complaints, and ensure retention.
Lead hiring, retention, and performance evaluation of technical and support staff.
Conduct regular Work in Progress (WIP) updates.
Maintain Modern Niagara's values and safety-first culture in all aspects of work.
Ensure team engagement in development plans and create pathways for career progression.
Represent the organization in client and construction meetings and contribute to “One Modern” team integration across regions.
Fully utilize ERP systems and modern technology tools to optimize field operations.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Service environment.
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling tools, ERP systems).
Proven management experience (hiring, appraisals, conflict resolution).
Deep understanding of construction management practices, budgeting, and building codes.
Experience in developing and leading high-performing technical teams.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to guide, coach, and lead teams effectively.
Ability to manage client relationships and technical challenges in a multi-trade service environment.
