Metric Geo, one of Canada’s premier general contractors, is currently hiring an Electrical Estimator specializing in Critical Environments projects. The role is based in the Greater Toronto Area and follows a hybrid working model. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical scopes in ICI/Critical Environment projects

  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine material, labor, and time requirements

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing and schedule data

  • Support bid preparation and submission for complex, multi-million dollar construction projects

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project planning

  • Utilize estimation software and tools to maintain accuracy and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical estimating for ICI/Critical Environment projects

  • Project Exposure: Experience working on data centers, research laboratories, healthcare facilities, and university campuses

  • Education: Post-secondary degree or certification in Engineering or a related technical field; Professional Engineer designation or equivalent from a recognized technical school is preferred

  • Skills: Strong technical acumen, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in estimation tools and MS Office Suite
