GrandBridge is looking for an Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our Brantford Engineering Team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Corresponds with developers, consultants, engineers and contractors.
  • Design and estimating of overhead and underground distribution systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
  • Cover duties of Underground Inspector during periods of vacation or peak activity.
  • Preparations and issuing of work orders, detailed estimates and material lists.
  • Preparations and updating of distribution standards and specifications.
  • Preparation and evaluation of tenders.
  • Ensuring’s compliance with required legislative standards, building codes, ESA, CSA, OEB, easements, bylaws etc.
  • Preparation of work instructions for line crews and contractors in accordance with ESA Regulation 22/04

Education:

Post-Secondary diploma as an Electrical Engineering Technologist.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum three years’ experience with an electrical utility, sound knowledge of electrical distribution systems and distributions standards. Successful applicant will have and maintain a valid Class “G” drivers license with own transportation and be proficient with the latest AutoCAD, SPIDAcalc, Quadra and Microsoft Office Products including Excel and Word. Additional requirements include excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management. Demonstrated ability to make sound judgements and adapt to change. Applicants must have proven time management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
