Description:
CAE, a global leader in training for civil aviation, defense, and healthcare, is seeking a Concepteur Électrique (Electrical Designer) to join its Hardware Design department in Montreal. This department is responsible for providing hardware solutions for all CAE training devices. The multidisciplinary team brings expertise across mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering to design and deliver high-tech solutions that support CAE’s digital ecosystem and strategic objectives.
In this role, the Electrical Designer will actively contribute to the design, development, and integration of innovative and cost-effective hardware solutions aligned with client and project requirements. The responsibilities include analyzing drawings, specifications, and requirements from both internal and external clients; helping define simulator hardware configurations; developing material lists, wiring diagrams, and electrical system schematics; and supporting the manufacturing process through close collaboration with various engineering groups.
The candidate will also be tasked with preparing detailed technical documentation and drawings, supporting vendors and suppliers of simulated instruments, participating in compliance and technical evaluations, conducting design reviews (PDRs, CDRs), and contributing to project proposals. Strong problem-solving skills are required to provide innovative technical solutions that meet project demands.
