Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation (GBGHF) is seeking a Donor Relations and Stewardship Officer to join its dedicated and passionate team. The selected candidate will be responsible for fostering donor relationships, enhancing stewardship experiences, and supporting the Foundation’s mission of empowering Georgian Bay General Hospital to deliver outstanding healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Communications & Recognition:

  • Design and implement a Donor Recognition Program across various giving levels.

  • Manage naming opportunities and coordinate donor recognition initiatives.

  • Oversee programs like Heartfelt Thanks and Donor Thank You Calls.

  • Collaborate with Communications and clinical teams to produce impact stories and reports.

Program Development & Donor Experience:

  • Create personalized stewardship journeys for donors.

  • Manage and grow the monthly giving program.

  • Lead stewardship activities for initiatives like the Breakfast of Champions.

  • Organize the annual Impact Market and other donor-centric events.

  • Support tailored stewardship plans for major, annual, and planned gifts.

Prospect Research & Donor Intelligence:

  • Implement stewardship best practices.

  • Support campaign-specific stewardship strategies.

Database Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate donor data in Raiser’s Edge.

  • Produce analytical reports to shape donor engagement strategies.

  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure proper allocation and reporting of designated gifts.

Team Collaboration & Internal Communications:

  • Provide excellent service to donors, volunteers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Assist with drafting and fulfilling gift agreements.

  • Uphold confidentiality and represent GBGHF with integrity.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in donor relations or fundraising.

  • Experience in donor stewardship, preferably in a healthcare foundation setting.

  • Knowledge of donor motivations and CRA charitable receipting guidelines.

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred).

  • Proficient with MS Office and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).

  • AFP/AHP ethical fundraising knowledge.

  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
