As a Dishwasher at Sunrise of Lynn Valley, you will contribute to this mission by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in all food production and consumption areas, supporting a safe, orderly, and well-maintained kitchen and dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain dishwashing and pot washing areas.

• Operate dishwashing machines following manufacturer instructions to sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and glassware.

• Maintain accurate sanitation logs including dish machine and pot/pan sink temperatures, promptly reporting any issues.

• Perform daily and weekly kitchen cleaning duties, maintaining logs to ensure hygiene standards are met.

• Clean kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, fryers, microwaves, mixers, refrigerators, freezers, coffee machines, ventilation hoods, and more.

• Conduct janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing walls and ceilings, sanitizing production areas, and emptying trash.

• Assist with food preparation and plating as needed.

• Ensure proper storage of cookware, china, glassware, utensils, janitorial supplies, and chemicals.

• Assist in receiving, labeling, storing, and rotating food and non-food supplies.

• Comply with all occupational health and safety regulations including proper use of PPE, fire safety, SDS, and Lockout Tagout procedures.

• Support dining services by cleaning dining and bistro areas, bussing and resetting tables, delivering food orders, and preparing/serving light meals per company standards.

• Actively participate in team goals, company meetings, and training sessions, demonstrating dedication to residents and team members.

Qualifications:

• One year of relevant job experience preferred.

• High School diploma or GED.

• Completion of or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

• Food safety certifications such as ServSafe® Food Handler Card or Local Health Department Food Handler Card may be required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
