Description:
INNOTEX®, a leading company specializing in protective gear for fire and rescue services, is actively seeking a Director of Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement to join their growing team. The company is headquartered in Richmond, Quebec, with operations also in Montreal and the United States (Alabama), employing approximately 300 professionals.
As a strategic leader within the organization, the Director will be responsible for managing and evolving INNOTEX's quality assurance systems while driving a robust culture of continuous improvement across all departments—from manufacturing to support functions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning processes with customer expectations and industry regulations while empowering cross-functional teams to innovate and optimize performance.
Lead the quality systems and standards to ensure organizational compliance and customer satisfaction.
Manage and mentor a multi-site quality team in both Canada and the U.S., ensuring goals align with the corporate dashboard and operational plans.
Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving initiatives across manufacturing and support functions.
Collaborate with departments to design scalable and efficient workflows, enhancing interdepartmental communication and performance.
Inspire teams through influence rather than authority, promoting a culture of accountability, trust, and continuous learning.
Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize projects, and guide teams through implementation.
Act as a change agent, assisting the Vice President of Operations in executing strategies that place people at the heart of transformation.
Ensure standardization and structuring of processes with an initial focus on manufacturing operations.
Bachelor’s degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of quality assurance or relevant experience, ideally in manufacturing.
In-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 standards, and change management practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Visio.
Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) to effectively collaborate with cross-border teams.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently to manufacturing sites in Richmond, Warwick, Montreal (QC), and Alabama (USA).
