Qualifications:

• Master's degree, preferably in a health discipline/public policy is required.
• University degree in Communications/Public Relations or equivalent in experience is preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience as a senior leader in a complex environment namely healthcare, with in-depth knowledge of provincial and national health issues, priorities and needs with a particular focus on Nova Scotia's continuing care and Disability Support Program (DSP) sectors; and demonstrated experience (or expertise??) in stakeholder relations, government relations, and membership engagement.
• Knowledgeable in broader trends in health care policy and system development.
• Significant experience in communications and/or public relations with some exposure to the not-for-profit space being ideal and experience in health care preferred.
