Compagnons de Montréal, a nonprofit organization located in the Petite-Patrie neighborhood of Montreal, has been supporting adults with intellectual disabilities (DI) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD) since 1960. The organization offers residential services, daytime activity programs, and socio-professional training—all centered on values of dignity, inclusion, and empowerment.
They are seeking a Director of Clinical Services and Quality of Care to play a key leadership role overseeing all clinical aspects of the organization. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role focuses on ensuring high-quality, consistent, and compliant clinical practices while fostering team development and continuous service improvement.
Clinical Leadership & Quality Assurance:
Develop, implement, and assess clinical protocols, intervention plans, and evaluation tools. Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards, and contribute to the organization’s strategic direction in clinical matters.
Team Development & Supervision:
Establish ongoing professional development and training for staff. Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to intervention personnel, encouraging a culture of collaboration and clinical excellence.
Partnerships & External Representation:
Maintain effective partnerships with the healthcare, social services, community, and academic sectors. Contribute to project proposals, funding applications, and reports.
Intermediate Residence Responsibilities:
Oversee the quality and safety of care within the residential resource. Ensure compliance with Quebec's Law 90 and regulations governing intermediate resources. Supervise medication safety and clinical risk management protocols.
University degree in social work, psychoeducation, or a related field
At least 5 years’ experience working with DI/ASD populations
Strong command of clinical intervention methodologies and evaluation tools
Proven experience leading interdisciplinary teams or managing clinical services
Excellent communication skills, professional rigor, and motivational leadership
Familiarity with the Quebec health and social services system
Experience working in an intermediate residence is a major asset
Affiliation with a professional order is considered an advantage
Permanent, full-time position (35 hours/week, Monday to Friday)
On-call duty approximately once a month on weekends
Annual Salary: CAD 60000 (approx. CAD 5000/month)
4 weeks of vacation after one year, including holiday break
Personal days, free on-site meals, ongoing training program
