Director, Business Services

Description:

• Degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, or related field plus 3 years recent experience* OR Diploma in a related field plus 5 years recent experience*,
• OR an equivalent combination of education and recent experience* may be considered.

• Recent experience (within the last 7 years) must include:

• Experience leading corporate service functions (e.g., finance, human resources, facilities, administration, etc.) for a medium to large size public sector organization.
• Experience in government financial management and applying of accounting principles.
• Experience establishing and reconciling program and project objectives, priorities, and budgets.
• Experience leading and resolving complex staff and/or client issues.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary staff including developing and evaluating employee performance, coaching, team building and mentoring staff.
• Experience supporting Treasury Board submissions.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

• 5 years recent experience establishing and reconciling program and project objectives, priorities, and budgets.
• 5 years recent experience leading and resolving complex staff and/or client issues.
• 3 years experience dealing with politically sensitive and provincially significant issues.
• 1 or more years experience directly leading Treasury Board submissions.
