Devsecops Engineer

Description:

SAP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join their Sovereign Cloud Services team. This role is pivotal in automating development and deployment pipelines, implementing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) frameworks, and ensuring high availability across both production and non-production environments.

The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure automation tools, and providing technical leadership throughout the entire DevOps lifecycle. Key duties include software deployment strategy development, clustering for data storage optimization, monitoring production issues, and delivering scalable, secure, and highly available systems. The candidate will also design and implement scaling strategies, automation scripts, lifecycle infrastructure, and self-service solutions for faster software delivery.

The role demands strong technical expertise in scripting, CI/CD practices, and a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle. Experience in system automation, cloud platforms (Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, etc.), big data, NoSQL, SIEM tools (Splunk, Nessus, Burp Suite, etc.), and proficiency with tools like Git and Jira is essential. The engineer must also demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities, with a passion for security, scalability, and automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related engineering discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.

• Expertise in cloud technologies, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, scripting, and system security.

• Strong analytical, multi-tasking, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with OAuth, SAML SSO, Microservices, and big data technologies is a plus.

• Experience with source control and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Jira).

• Desirable: Competency in using SIEM tools such as Tennable, Splunk, etc.
