Devops Lead

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a skilled and innovative DevOps Lead to join the Enterprise Applications Delivery team within Technology and Infrastructures (T&I). This hybrid role involves a mix of remote and in-office work in Montreal and focuses on leading DevOps practices, supporting development teams, and modernizing enterprise application delivery.

The DevOps Lead will collaborate with DevOps professionals, Application Solution Architects, and Developers to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and improve software engineering practices. The role also involves supporting cloud and on-premise environments, standardizing release management, and enabling developer self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, automate, and support CI/CD pipelines for C# (.NET Framework & .NET Core) and Python applications.

• Manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

• Develop automations for provisioning and deprovisioning infrastructure.

• Support development teams and stakeholders.

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and self-healing for CI/CD and infrastructure.

• Standardize release management processes for enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with Application Development, Data Management, Software Architecture, and InfoSec teams.

• Improve software engineering best practices and deployment processes.

• Expand automated deployment and testing tools to optimize delivery and reduce errors.

• Support cloud modernization projects and implement secure-by-design practices.

• Create reusable automation libraries and APIs.

• Document platform support processes and participate in on-call support for production solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in C#, Python, PowerShell, PowerCLI, and Git (Bitbucket, GitHub).

• Knowledge of cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.

• Strong understanding of Linux, UNIX, Windows systems, and virtualization (VMWare).

• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of infrastructure configurations, networking, firewalls, load-balancing, and monitoring.

• Experience provisioning/managing Azure environments (certification is an asset).

• Knowledge of containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.

• Agile methodology experience (SCRUM certification is an asset).
