Devops Engineer

DevOps Engineer to join one of our banking clients in Toronto.

This is an exciting opportunity to support enterprise DevOps modernization, lead Azure DevOps (ADO) to GitHub Enterprise (GHE) migration initiatives, and influence technology decisions across cloud platforms.

📍 Location: Downtown, Toronto (Hybrid)
⏳ Contract: 6 months, with potential for extension or permanent conversion
💼 Experience: 5+ years

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise migrations, including repositories, pipelines, permissions, and deployment workflows.
Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and reusable deployment frameworks.
Automate Azure infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
Support Azure cloud deployments for web applications, APIs, and data platforms.
Implement DevOps security, governance, monitoring, and operational best practices.
Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize deployment processes and improve platform reliability.

Must-Have Skills:
✅ Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps.
✅ Experience with ADO to GHE migration initiatives.
✅ Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline design, automation, and release management.
✅ Experience deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure.
✅ Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as ARM templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
✅ Knowledge of cloud security, networking, monitoring, and production support.
✅ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:
⭐ Previous banking or financial services experience.
⭐ ServiceNow, Snyk, or HashiCorp Vault.
⭐ Azure Data Factory or Databricks.
⭐ Jira or CyberArk.
