Devops Engineer

Description:

Signature IT World Inc is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their team in Mississauga, ON on a hybrid contract basis. The role is best suited for candidates with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and data orchestration. The engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable DevOps pipelines, ensuring operational efficiency, security compliance, and automation across critical applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, automate, and manage infrastructure and deployments with a strong focus on Azure Cloud Services, including Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Key Vault (AKV).

• Utilize scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell to automate operational and deployment tasks.

• Implement and maintain configuration management solutions using Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.

• Ensure robust security practices by implementing and supporting OAuth, SCIM, Key Vaults, TLS, and Identity Management (IDM).

• Develop, integrate, and manage workflows using data orchestration platforms like Apache Airflow.

• Support ETL-related workflows by applying knowledge of software development processes and methodologies.

• Continuously evaluate, experiment, and adopt new technologies to improve infrastructure scalability and efficiency.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Knowledge of Red Hat Linux environments.

• Experience with advanced data tools such as:

  • Data aggregation: Cube Cloud

  • Data cataloging: Alation

  • Self-service analytics: Dataiku

  • Data lineage: Solidatus

  • Data quality: Anamolo
