Devops Engineer

Description:

YASH Technologies is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms for a hybrid contract role based in Mississauga, Ontario. The contract is expected to last 6 months or longer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and automating AWS infrastructure to support application deployment across multiple environments. This role requires close collaboration with the Enterprise Architectural Group and project delivery teams to enhance build and release automation, scripts, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and automate AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and Terraform.

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and AWS ECS/Fargate.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Artifactory.

• Conduct static code analysis with SonarCloud and manage artifact repositories.

• Manage AWS native services, including VPC, EC2, IAM, Security Groups, Lambda functions, Glue, Athena, CodePipeline, CloudFront, and S3.

• Utilize Azure cloud services alongside AWS as part of a multi-cloud environment.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure security, encryption, and security group configurations.

• Work with Serverless technologies, including AWS Lambda and API Gateway integration and management.

• Use modern programming languages like Java or Python to support DevOps automation and processes.

• Apply strong automation and security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in multi-cloud environments, especially AWS and Azure.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as VPC, EC2, IAM, ECS, Lambda, Glue, Athena, CodePipeline, CloudFront, and S3.

• Proficient in infrastructure as code tools: CloudFormation and Terraform.

• Experience with DevOps toolsets: Bitbucket, GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Artifactory.

• Programming skills in Java, Python, or similar modern languages.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and databases.

• Familiarity with AWS API Gateway and Serverless technologies.

• Strong focus on security and automation mindset within DevOps practices.
