Devops Agile Coach

Description:

The DevOps Agile Coach/Architect will play a key role in helping DevOps teams transition from traditional software delivery methods to a DevOps/Agile approach. This role involves coaching teams, improving DevOps skills and practices, and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) frameworks. The DevOps Agile Coach/Architect will also contribute to creating training materials to accelerate team adoption and upskilling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach teams on adopting software development best practices and improving their software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Help development teams implement the Golden CI/CD Template to enhance automation and compliance with code quality and security checks.

• Provide DevOps delivery coaching, focusing on Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), shifting left security compliance, and removing technical debt.

• Identify opportunities for automation and assist teams in improving their DevOps practices.

• Observe teams to understand impediments and help remove barriers to effective DevOps/Agile practices.

• Provide coaching to Product Owners and Scrum Masters on DevOps/Agile practices and product centricity.

• Customize and enhance the Golden Pipeline based on team requirements.

• Develop training materials to support DevOps skills development.

• Contribute to enterprise-wide DevOps transformation efforts.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps environment with expertise in infrastructure-as-code and software/application development.

• Deep knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle, DevOps, TDD, and CI/CD.

• 5+ years of expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCE, OpenStack, VMware, etc.) and Linux/Windows operating systems.

• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef Provisioning).

• Proficiency with Docker containers and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Strong experience in coaching or leading teams and effectively communicating with all organizational levels.

• Deep understanding of the DevOps philosophy and Agile methods.

• Experience automating traditional processes with scripting or configuration management.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues and coach teams on automating tasks.

• Ability to break down complex systems into small deliverables and convey this vision through workshops.

• Experience leading large projects, transformation efforts, and system development and integration.

• Adaptability to uncertainty and change.

• Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
