Dev Ops Engineer

Description:

BASF is hiring a DevOps Engineer - Supply Chain Planning to join their Global Digital Services team in Mississauga. This role focuses on developing and rolling out BASF’s new Supply Chain Planning Framework across business units and countries. The engineer will work closely with diverse stakeholders in supply chain and commercial teams, operating within an agile environment, and supporting AI-driven supply chain planning software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete structured training and build expertise in OMP planning technology.

• Contribute to the evolution of BASF’s supply chain planning landscape, including functional development, solution design, and system configuration.

• Work in an agile environment on user stories covering functional and technical design, configuration, testing (UAT), debugging, documentation, and training.

• Support live customers through incident management, ticket resolution, and technical assistance.

• Implement and configure external supply chain planning software (OMP) and validate critical SAP master and transactional data.

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across planning systems to enable effective supply planning, forecasting, and execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Supply Chain Management, IT, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.

• 3+ years’ experience with OPR and/or Supply Planning using tools like OMP, SAP APO, GIB, or IBP.

• Solid understanding of supply chain planning processes and DevOps knowledge for planning solutions.

• Technical skills in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Java, ABAP, OPAL, SQL) and basic debugging.

• Familiarity with incident management and ticketing systems (AzureDevOps, SAP Solution Manager, JIRA, ServiceNow).

• Knowledge of SAP master and transactional data relevant to supply chain planning.

• Customer-centric mindset with collaboration across business users and data owners.

• Experience in agile methodologies preferred.
