Deloitte Canada is seeking a Data Strategy & Governance Manager to play a pivotal role in establishing and advancing the Data Strategy & Governance Office (DSGO) at Deloitte Global. This is a high-impact, hybrid role ideal for professionals with deep experience in data governance, data management, and enterprise-wide data strategy who want to contribute to building a modern and efficient data infrastructure.
As a key member of the DSGO team reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, the selected candidate will be responsible for developing frameworks, standards, and processes that align global data initiatives across multiple regions. The role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, technology teams, and data stewards to implement best-in-class practices in data governance, while driving innovation and quality across data systems.
Co-create strategy materials, policies, and data governance playbooks with key stakeholders.
Lead and facilitate governance decision forums and control processes across departments.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and benchmark industry-leading practices.
Collaborate with data stewards to assess needs, critical datasets, and standardization opportunities.
Measure and report on data quality, supporting quality improvement programs.
Partner with tech and application teams on governance for master data, classification, and lifecycle management.
Design process flows and solutions for data capabilities by gathering requirements.
Lead change management and training initiatives related to governance rollout.
Promote innovation and identify emerging technologies to better manage data assets.
Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or strategy
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Proficient in master data management, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
Strong ability to assess gaps, design programs, and drive continuous improvement
Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Familiarity with tools like Informatica, SAP, Salesforce (an asset)
Agile, proactive, and capable of navigating ambiguity
Monthly salary: Between $7083 and $13000 CAD, plus eligibility for performance bonuses
