As a Physics PhD – Data Specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing the accuracy, reliability, and depth of AI systems by applying your advanced physics knowledge to evaluate, design, and refine model outputs. This is a flexible, remote contractor role offering opportunities to work on high-impact projects shaping the future of AI innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate the accuracy and depth of AI-generated content in the field of Physics.
Review and refine complex scientific material to ensure it aligns with established physics principles and methodologies.
Design and create challenging physics problems and datasets to strengthen AI model training.
Provide detailed feedback to AI research teams for improving the scientific accuracy of AI outputs.
Develop evaluation rubrics for systematically assessing AI-generated physics-related content.
Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure high standards and consistency across training datasets.
Work independently and asynchronously while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
Candidate Requirements:
Must possess a PhD in Physics from a top-tier university in the US, UK, Canada, or Europe.
Strong proficiency in scientific research methodologies, problem solving, and critical thinking.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent command of the English language.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of machine learning and AI model development.
Experience in programming (Python preferred).
Background in scientific writing, data analysis, and research publication.
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Engagement Details:
Contract Type: Hourly contractor, fully remote and asynchronous.
Workload: 15–20 hours per week, with potential extension up to 40 hours per week.
Duration: Minimum commitment of 1–2 months, with opportunities for extension.
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay ($60–$80/hr), paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
