Data Migration Lead

Description:

OpenText is looking for a candidate with strong data analysis and SQL skills to be part of a dynamic team with a focus on projects relating to data migration.

You will be the lead on data migration projects that deal with legacy data from acquired companies (M&A) into OpenText systems, ensuring business requirements are met and business processes are aligned.

Your role is to be the expert in extracting, analyzing and presenting relevant data points from a variety of sources to the business partners and IT leaders. You will be responsible to help design the data layer as part of migration projects, lead the offshore SQL developers in scripting out the tables for various migration objects and provide data cross-reference to downstream systems that consume migrated data.

Your expertise should be on the ERP related backend data – master data objects including Customer, Contacts, Vendor, Materials and its multiple attributes, transaction objects such as open orders, receivables, payables etc. An understanding of the flow and impact of master data objects to downstream systems and other transactional data objects.

You should be able to work with cross functional business as well as IT teams and be able to share the data analysis across these teams.

Take ownership of design & development of all data extract, analysis and presentation activities Working with the project team to ensure that all ongoing data transformation, de-duplication, extraction and load functions once ready for production deployment are documented in detailed data lineage models

• Work with diverse backend systems such as Oracle ERP, Netsuite, Salesforce, support/ticketing systems to extract and map data in a SQL staging data layer.
• Own/execute process to de-duplicate and fuzzy match data
• Ability to run, recommend different extraction tools such as DBamp, Suiteanalytics to effectively and efficiently.
• Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.
• Help prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality and business sign-off details.
• Understanding of data integrations, specifically how master data from SAP can impact downstream systems.
• Building and maintaining cross-functional relationships, including aligning opinions and approaches across disparate teams.
• Assisting with designing business processes to be aligned to the master data
• Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
