VLink Inc., a rapidly expanding digital technology and consulting company established in 2006 and headquartered in Connecticut, is seeking a Senior Master Data Management (MDM) Developer with hands-on experience in Databricks and Azure platforms. This contract opportunity is based in Mississauga, ON, with a hybrid work arrangement. The candidate must be willing to attend client-level meetings at Synechron’s Mississauga or Montreal office.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level MDM solutions that ensure consistent, accurate, and reliable master data across business domains. You will work collaboratively with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-performance data management solutions leveraging Databricks, Azure, and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain MDM systems to ensure high-quality master data across multiple business units.

• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and data integration workflows within the Databricks environment on the Azure cloud platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, business analysts, and data stewards to define and deliver robust data solutions.

• Develop and implement data integration processes, data quality rules, and transformation logic using Databricks and Spark frameworks.

• Create and maintain data models, metadata repositories, and technical documentation for MDM workflows and systems.

• Apply data governance and security best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Perform data profiling, root cause analysis, and data quality improvement initiatives to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

• Automate workflows and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the MDM and Databricks ecosystem.

• Mentor junior developers, offering guidance on best practices in MDM design, Databricks development, and cloud data management.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering, MDM, and cloud architecture.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

• Proven experience in designing and implementing MDM solutions in enterprise environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, including notebooks, Spark, Delta Lake, and Spark SQL.

• Advanced programming proficiency in Python.

• Strong familiarity with Azure services, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake.

• Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.

• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and master data concepts.

• Excellent command of SQL and experience working with large-scale datasets.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with effective communication and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based data integration tools and large-scale data management systems.

• Knowledge of metadata management and data stewardship principles.

• Familiarity with machine learning data pipelines or data lakehouse architectures is an asset.
