Description:
- Accurately and efficiently scan, import, tag and file documents in the Corporation’s electronic storage database application in a timely manner.
- Perform a quality review of scanned images to ensure accuracy and completeness of the electronic version compared to the original document.
- Enter employee information into HRIS system.
- Maintain organized filing methods.
- Separate and distribute both incoming and outgoing mail (including deliveries, couriers and faxes).
- Environmental Compliance training program support helping to maintain records and conducting follow up on outstanding training.
- QSE support with Algoma’s safety recognition program by reviewing employee work days and determining eligibility for an award.
- Assistance with the administrative aspects of the QSE portion of the Drug and Alcohol testing program.
- Update manuals, spill response plans and IMS documents as directed.
- Support processing and distributing Ship Net reports
- Other administrative assistance as needed including remote support to the Florida office as required.
Skills, Abilities and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration or another related field or equivalent experience.
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook email.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through.
- Excellent organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- A high degree of discretion and ability to safeguard and maintain confidentiality at all times.
