Description:

  • Accurately and efficiently scan, import, tag and file documents in the Corporation’s electronic storage database application in a timely manner.
  • Perform a quality review of scanned images to ensure accuracy and completeness of the electronic version compared to the original document.
  • Enter employee information into HRIS system.
  • Maintain organized filing methods.
  • Separate and distribute both incoming and outgoing mail (including deliveries, couriers and faxes).
  • Environmental Compliance training program support helping to maintain records and conducting follow up on outstanding training.
  • QSE support with Algoma’s safety recognition program by reviewing employee work days and determining eligibility for an award.
  • Assistance with the administrative aspects of the QSE portion of the Drug and Alcohol testing program.
  • Update manuals, spill response plans and IMS documents as directed.
  • Support processing and distributing Ship Net reports
  • Other administrative assistance as needed including remote support to the Florida office as required.


Skills, Abilities and Experience:
 

High school diploma or GED required.

  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration or another related field or equivalent experience.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook email.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through.
  • Excellent organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • A high degree of discretion and ability to safeguard and maintain confidentiality at all times.
